My Property Portfolio started as two rental apartments in the UK.
Then I bought off-plan in Al Barari. Held it through construction, sold on completion. That single deal made more than I ever thought i would make — and it's the deal that changed how I thought about property completely.
I've stopped flipping. Flipping is a job — you're back at zero every time you sell. Holding is different. Holding compounds.
Now I buy off-plan — villas and apartments both — not to sell, but to rent. Every purchase adds to income I don't have to keep working for. That's the actual point of it.
With the two properties I had in the UK before I started to invest in Dubai - The tax position made them impossible to justify — every year on paper, holding them cost more than they returned. I sold both and moved every dirham of that investment into Dubai instead. One market, one strategy: build it once, let it pay me for the next twenty years.
This isn't the highlight-reel version of property investing. It's the actual mechanics — what worked, what I stopped doing, and why.
